Italy is populated every year by millions of tourists who usually concentrate in the summer months. This creates the phenomenon of high season, which is precisely the summer, where prices are skyrocketing and often the cities are overcrowded.

For this reason Italians prefer to do things during the holidays, such as the one that will be soon for the feast of All Saints. From 29 October to 2 November, in fact, many workplaces will give the opportunity to their employees to pass out of office this holiday.

But let’s find out more about this holiday.

The feast of All Saints was established by the Church to replace pagan events of the end of October, such as the Halloween tradition. In this case, many pagan festivals celebrated the end of the year and the beginning of winter and it was a day when all the dead were commemorated.

During the pontificate of Gregory II this feast began to be suppressed. Despite the attempts of the Church, people still continued to celebrate this anniversary to take advantage of the end of summer and the beginning of the colder months and above all to be able to communicate with their deceased loved ones.

In every Italian region there was a different way to celebrate the festivity, and this tradition has been maintained even today. In Bologna, for example, the city is full of live performances or parties. Even in the city center it is possible to do very suggestive guided tours, and in general the city is full of many interesting activities.

More generally, you could take the opportunity to visit the most touristy Italian places that are now emptied of tourists. It could be the right opportunity to visit Florence and its incredible artistic importance. Likewise, during the Halloween holiday, you can visit numerous places open in exceptional way.

But perhaps the most suggestive way to pass this bridge is definitely to come to Naples. The city has always enjoyed an incredible reputation for death.

Just think of the deep devotion present in the cemetery of Fontanelle, a cemetery of anonymous whose bones were placed to be treated by volunteers who every year go to the cemetery for rituals of good luck.

Or, in Naples you can visit the Chapel of San Severo where you can closely observe all the alchemical experiments of the prince of San Severo. Also from the culinary point of view it is important to remember that in this period you sell the soft nougat that you can find in all the shops in the area!

What are you waiting for? Take advantage of this bridge and remember that you can stay comfortably in our facilities.
