Often when you visit a city you do "tourist" activities, leaving behind the real attractions of the place. This is a mistake born from the little knowledge of the territory you are visiting, and it is definitely not a fault! If you are part of those tourists who are afraid to come to Italy and miss important activities, we will help you. Here is a list of attractions and places to visit if you are coming to Italy.

Rome

Rome is the capital of Italy, and is a symbol of the culture and tradition of a people. It is called "The Eternal City" and attracts millions of tourists every year. It is a city that houses many museums famous all over the world, but that especially houses the Vatican. The things to see in Rome are: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the various squares. Of course, another must-see is the Vatican Museums.

Florence

Florence is considered the city of art: there are some precise reasons for this definition, but just think that half of the total Italian works are kept in Florence. All the greatest Italian geniuses have in fact trampled on the Florentine soil, starting with Dante, then moving on to Leonardo da Vinci and ending with Botticelli. Every year about 15 million tourists choose Florence as their holiday destination. Here is a series of attractions not to be missed: The Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria.

Venice

Venice is definitely the most iconic Italian city for its fundamental feature of being suspended in the water. In fact, it is the aspect that is most taken up in foreign narratives and is the thing that remains most impressed to visitors. Important and recognized is also the Carnival of Venice that every year, in February, sees the city invaded by colors and funny and artistic disguises.  Must-see attractions in Venice include: St Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace, St Mark’s Basilica, a gondola ride!

Verona

Lover of Shakespeare? You’re in the right place. The famous playwright has set most of his works in this city, making it one of the most famous ever. It is a very touristy city but also hides more hidden and less visible places. If you are in Venice, you can not miss a visit to the house of Juliet or the main squares of the city (Bra and Erbe). Very interesting also the museums, which always host works from all over the world.

Naples

The city of a thousand colors, the city of the sea and good food: Naples is perhaps one of the most characteristic places of Italy. Rich in monuments and churches, it faithfully tells the history of each citizen, also collecting testimonies of different peoples due to the dominations that there have been until recent times. Home of pizza, in fact also collects other attractions that can not be lost for nothing in the world: the national archaeological museum, Pompeii ruins, the huge Piazza del Plebiscito, the Virgiliano Park!
